What sizes are available for the Alfa Pro Shin‑73 and how do I pick the right one?

The guards come in Small (23‑25 cm), Medium (25‑27 cm), Large (27‑29 cm) and X‑Large (29‑31 cm). Measure the circumference of your calf at the widest point, add 1‑2 cm for comfort, and select the size that matches the range.

Are the Alfa Pro Shin‑73 suitable for Indian climate and field conditions?

Yes. The outer shell is made of water‑resistant polymer that dries quickly, while the inner moisture‑wicking liner keeps legs cool and dry even in hot, humid conditions typical of Indian tournaments.

How durable is the impact protection of the Alfa Pro Shin‑73 for aggressive play?

The guards feature a multi‑layer impact pad with high‑density EVA foam that absorbs shocks from fast‑moving balls and tackles, maintaining its protective properties after hundreds of high‑intensity matches.

How can I verify that my Alfa Pro Shin‑73 guards are authentic?

Authentic pairs have a holographic Alfa logo on the inner strap, a unique 12‑digit serial number stamped on the shell, and come with a warranty card from the official Alfa distributor in India.

How do Alfa Pro Shin‑73 compare with other popular guards like Kookaburra or TK?

Compared with Kookaburra and TK models, the Alfa Pro Shin‑73 are lighter (≈280 g per pair), offer a tighter unisex fit, and use a water‑resistant outer shell, making them especially suited for fast‑paced Indian field hockey while providing comparable impact protection.
