What size should I choose for the Alfa GL‑93 left‑hand glove?

Measure the circumference of your hand just below the knuckles (excluding the thumb). The GL‑93 fits standard Indian sizes: Small (14‑15 cm), Medium (15‑16 cm), Large (16‑17 cm) and X‑Large (17‑18 cm). Choose the size where your measurement falls within the range for the best fit.

Is the 3/4‑finger design better than a full‑finger glove for Indian conditions?

Yes. The 3/4‑finger cut gives the same impact protection on the knuckles while allowing better ventilation, which is crucial in hot and humid Indian climates. It also retains the ‘bare‑finger’ feel for precise stick handling.

How durable is the Lycra material of the GL‑93 glove on rough Indian pitches?

Alfa’s high‑grade Lycra is abrasion‑resistant and quick‑drying, so it withstands the sand and mud commonly found on Indian fields. The reinforced padding on the back of the hand protects against repeated impacts, and most users report the glove lasting an entire season with normal care.

How can I verify that the Alfa GL‑93 glove I’m buying is authentic?

Authentic Alfa gloves come in a sealed, printed box with the Alfa logo, model name (GL‑93), size label and a care‑instruction tag. The stitching is even and the Lycra has a smooth, matte finish. Check for the hologram sticker on the box and compare the logo placement with images on Alfa’s official website.

How does the Alfa GL‑93 compare with other popular Indian market gloves like Grays Pro 8 or OBO 6?

The GL‑93 is lighter than the Grays Pro 8 and offers better airflow thanks to its Lycra fabric, while still delivering comparable knuckle protection. Compared with the OBO 6, the Alfa glove’s left‑hand specific padding and 3/4‑finger cut give a more natural feel for dribbling, though the OBO 6 may have slightly thicker palm padding for players who prefer extra cushioning.
