What length hockey stick do you need?

Stick length is chosen by the height of the player: roughly 36.5 inches for players around 5 feet 9 and above, 36 inches between about 5 feet 4 and 5 feet 9, and shorter junior lengths below that. Stood upright beside the player, the top of the stick should reach close to the hip bone.

How do you care for a hockey stick?

Keep the stick dry and clean the mud off after play, because grit trapped against the toe wears the surface down. Check the grip and the toe for splitting or delamination before each season. Composite sticks should not be used to block another stick deliberately, and no stick should be stored under weight in a packed kit bag.
